This role offers an exciting software development position in the Kantar Media Engineering team, a multi-cultural organization with teams based in Europe and South America in charge of researching and developing hardware and software solutions for Audience Measurement systems used across the globe.

This professional will be part of the team responsible for the new audio-matching system developed by Kantar, which is being implemented in several countries. This system compares audio collected by dedicated metering devices against a library of TV contents using Kantar’s proprietary audio-matching technology (fingerprinting technique).

This audio-matching system was developed for the cloud using a cloud agnostic approach and its architecture is comprised of several cutting-edge technologies such as: containers, kubernetes as an orchestrator, micro-services, messenger with RabbitMQ, interface with SQL (My SQL) and NoSQL (Elasticsearch), just to name a few.

This role will be about researching, creating and developing applications - Kubernetes charts based on Golang and/or available at CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) - that are responsible for communication, optimized searching on huge datasets, data storage and more, using advanced technologies and techniques.

Responsabilities:
  • Implementing new technologies for Audience measurement systems based on existing and new technologies
  • Researching new technologies to enhance the product
  • Developing new services in Golang
  • Creating new Kubernetes charts
  • Guaranteeing Kubernetes containers communication inside and outside clusters
  • Maintaining the current technology
  • Creating new Pipelines as part of the CI/CD processes
